Hey there, i'm really sorry for my absence but i have been (and still am) swamped in school work. Fortunately it is the winter holidays so I have some spare time!

So, it's that wonderful time of year where it is CHRISTMAS! I was lucky enough to get the beautiful chromebook that I am blogging on right now, which also makes blogging 100x quicker!

As one of my presents I got a gorgeous Ted Baker beauty set. Inside it contained a variety of beauty products, one thing that immediately caught my eye was this hightlight.

The packaging is elegant and simple, a rosy gold colour with the Ted Baker London logo on the front. When you open it it reveals a hand compact mirror (which is initially what I though it was, oops!) and the gorgeous highlight shades. One shade is more of a pinky colour that I consider to be more of a 'blush' shade but is very, very shimmery. Due to this fact I recommend using it as a highlight still with minimal blush. The other colour is a light pink and is your average highlight shade. They're very shimmery so give a very 'dewy' highlighted look. Personally I love this look as I love a strong contour and highlight!

The pigment in these shades are phenomenal and it blends very easily, which is very convenient. Personally this highlight is the perfect highlight for me. It gives a radiant glow and doesn't come off as cakey at all!

Thanyou for reading, I promise I shall keep up with these blog posts!

Lips, Glorious Lips.

My first blogpost in a while, i am sorry for that but i've been such a busy bee revising for my exams and completing coursework.

Today i'm going to talk about, drum roll, BABY LIPS. This product has been the centre of some very positive attention recently being a 'staple' in many peoples make-up collections. So i decided to give it a whirl...

The first thing you notice about this product is it's colourful packaging that's very playful to the eye - the colours stand out making it very appealing to the eye.

I got mine in the colour 'cherry me' which is a very raspberry dark pink/red. It smells gorgeous and sweet (even with my terrible cold) and glides on wonderfully. For the amount of hype this product gets i expected more pigment as  it barely gives a colour at all. That being said, thats the only downfall. The texture is very moisturising without being too oily and lasts for AGES. It's a very good lip balm and only £3!

M.A.C Blushes.

M.A.C is always put on a pedestal and known for putting out 'fabulous' products. Personally i agree and think that their products are lovely. M.A.C blushes retail at £18 and the Mineralize blushes at £20.

First up for review is Well Dressed. It's a satin finish and is a lovely baby doll pink.It leaves a lovely flushed looking colour on the cheeks without being chalky, patchy or too in-your-face. It's really blendable and has a tiny bit of sparkle (hence the satin finish)

Next up is Buff. It's a matte finish and a   muted pinky brown. It's a wonderful everyday colour that blends easily, bear in mind that a little goes a long way! Perfect for pale people who want a sweep of colour without washing out their  natural skin colour with bright pinks!

Lastly i have a mineralize blush in Gentle. It's a tad pricier than the normal powder blushes but it's worth it. the amount of pigment payoff is fantastic and as my first M.A.C blush i fell in love. not only is the swirls inside gorgeous to look at but the colour is a gorgeous 'gentle' pink with warm rosy tones swirled throughout. There is a bit of shimmer but it's not too prominent and looks gorgeous on the skin.

The only down fall is the packaging. It's classic and glamorous looking-yes but the plastic circle bit that covers the actual product is easy enough to snap out and it's happened to 2 of the 3 blushes i have. sort it out! haha.

Thankyou for reading and have a lovely day!

Top 10 beauty products of the moment.

Benefit's Erase Paste:

This concealer has a very thick, creamy consistency. It blends out well wether you're using your fingers or a brush to apply it and works best for those pesky dark under-eye circles! Mines in shade light and the only downfall is that there are only three shades and none of those are good for darker skin ethnicities.

TheBalm Bronzing Bandit and Mary-lou Manizer the Luminizer
Firstly i'm going to talk about the bronzer.   The packagings very cute and i really like the whole 'wanted' theme. It's very blendable and pigmented so a little goes a long way. In the packaging it looks pretty sparkly which isn't ideal for a bronzer but that doesn't transfer to the skin when blended out and leaves a nice glow almost.
Now it's time for my to ramble on about the highlight. Again the package is cute and themed and unfortunately i dropped mine onto laminated floor and mine cracked/broke which makes it very hard to use. Even so it gives great colour pay off and doesn't make me look oily. Only downside is that within a few hours a top up is required!

Smashbox's Cream Eyeliner in Putty.
Putting aside the fact that it's marketed as a 'cream eyeliner' i've taken to using this little gem on my eyebrows. It's purely matte and matches my natural brow colour pretty well, it's got excellent staying power and super defined brows. It also holds the hair down in place a lot easier!

M.A.C Lipstick in Creme Cup, Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer and Khroma Beauty Lipgloss:
M.A.C Lipstick - This lipstick is a Cremesheen and goes on really nicely, isn't too matte and is very true to colour. It's a nice light pink and very wearable for day time. The packaging is very classic and overall it's a lovely lipstick.
Rimmel London Apocolips - The shade i have is in Apocoliptic, which, personally i think is very lovely. It's a lip lacquer and goes on very thick in a lovely opaque, true to colour manner. It stays glossy and  doesn't dry out.
Khroma Beauty Lipgloss - I have this beautiful gloss in the shade Wildflower Honey. It's a lovely nudey pink with blue undertones and it smells devine (if you like honey, that is). It's perfect for everyday and is super flattering to all skin tones!

M.A.C Eyeshadow in All That Glitters:
This eyeshadow is a Veluxe Pearl and is shimmery but it isn't overly shimmery. It's a rose gold kind of colour (excuse my bad explanation of colours haha). It goes on really pigmented and has a good staying power, great for an all over lid colour!

BHcosmetics 2nd Edition 120 Colour Palette:

This beautiful palette has an array of shades ranging from mattes to shimmers, lights to darks and everything inbetween! It's like a chocolate box for makeup lovers. The colours are extremely pigmented and blend out lovely. Easily a favourite AND it's cheap as chips (although shipping to the UK is extortionate).

Rimmel London Glam Eyes Liquid Liner:

The shade i have mine in is 001 Black Glamour. This ultra-black eyeliner is perfect for defining the eyes. The wand, though, is extremely thin and flimsy so i don't recommend this for lid application but is PERFECT for wings in my opinion. It gives you clean lines and the ability to fill in the smallest of places!

Thats it! Hope you enjoyed reading this and if you have any opinions/suggestions feel free to comment! I'd love to hear from you!
